SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: Each year, over 1,000 peer-reviewed publications demonstrate the beneficial effect that this practice can have on the wellness, resilience and quality of life in today’s complex society.
MINDFULNESS IS: doing something with full attention, that is, whilst maintaining awareness and a clear intent to guide you through it. Anyone practicing mindfulness essentially “re-trains” their brain and thus the way their central nervous system (CNS) responds to changes.
MINDFULNESS IS NOT: “McMindfulness”, a term coined fairly recently, vividly describes how this practice can be used and promoted in today’s popularized brand culture. The training we provide does not work like a magic pill that will suddenly increase performance, super-activate brains and improve relationships.
NEUROSCIENCE AND MINDFULNESS: Research consistently shows that mindfulness meditation can bring about neuronal changes in the structure and function of brain regions involved in the regulation of concentration, emotion and self-awareness.
INTELLIGENCE: The direct translation of mindfulness in Greek would be intelligence, not in the strict intellectual sense that we tend to use this term but more with regards to one’s capability to utilize one’s mental capacities to the fullest. Mindfulness is about increasing one’s somatic, emotional and social intelligence.
